MyFundedFutures: are bots allowed? 2026 rules
MyFundedFutures (MFFU) accepts automated trading, but with safeguards: no high-frequency trading, no exploitation of simulated executions, no hedging. Here is what its official help pages say, read on October 12, 2026, and what remains to be confirmed with its support.
Last verified: October 12, 2026
What you'll learn
- What MFFU allows and prohibits for robots, EAs and automated strategies
- What exploiting simulated "fills" covers
- The numerical limits to build into a bot (news releases, price limit, size)
- What the public pages don't say (API, VPS, off-the-shelf bots)
The short answer
Yes, with conditions. According to the "Fair Play and Prohibited Trading Practices" page of the MFFU help center (update shown: August 24, 2026), automated strategies are accepted when they rely on the trader's own settings and do not seek to take advantage of the favorable executions of the simulated environment. High-frequency trading is prohibited on MFFU plans.
The page publishes no numerical trade threshold, no list of approved robots and no mention of an API. We therefore separate what MFFU writes from what should be asked of its support before automating anything.
Limit of this verification: MFFU's terms and conditions (myfundedfutures.com/terms) could not be read, and the Simulated Trader Agreement was not found. Every "no threshold" or "no mention" below applies only to the help pages consulted.
What the official rule says
The "Automated Trading Protocols" section comes down to three ideas. One: high-frequency trading is not permitted. Two: automation is allowed, with settings specific to the trader, as long as the tool does not aim to exploit the simulator's favorable executions. Three: on a live account, automation must comply with CME rules.
The logic is explained at the top of the page: some strategies exploit the simulated execution algorithm, succeed in evaluation, then tend to lose in the real market. MFFU lists them among prohibited practices. For a robot, this means that a backtest that is only profitable because of unrealistic fills is a compliance risk, not just a performance one.
What is allowed… and what isn't
Allowed, according to the pages consulted:
- An automated strategy adapted to your own settings, with no aim of exploiting simulated fills.
- Copy trading: MFFU states that it allows it on all account types ("Copy Trading at MyFundedFutures" page, dated August 24, 2026). Tradesyncer is presented as a preferred partner, Tradovate's group copier is mentioned, and other external solutions are possible. MFFU specifies, however, that it is not bound to provide any technical support, troubleshooting or account reset, and disclaims all liability related to copy trading software or services. Copying another trader's trades remains prohibited (see below): the exact boundary between the two is not detailed and should be confirmed with support.
- On live accounts, the live FAQ states that microscalping and DCA are allowed (page shown as of November 10, 2025). This FAQ predates the Fair Play page, it also claims there is no other prohibition than compliance with CME rules, and it does not cover automation: in case of doubt, the more recent Fair Play page takes precedence.
Prohibited:
- High-frequency trading.
- Exploiting the simulator: placing several limit orders at the same price at the same time to manipulate executions, entering a position to profit from isolated fills in a gapping or illiquid market, exploiting the absence of slippage with very tight brackets.
- Hedging of any kind: being long and short the same underlying at the same time, for example NQ and Micro NQ.
- Copying another trader (entering, exiting or canceling positions in their place), using the same device as another trader, or collaborating with others to execute identical or opposite strategies on unrelated accounts.
In case of violation, MFFU reserves the right to terminate immediately, forfeit profits from prohibited practices and re-examine passed evaluations: an offending trader may not be funded and may not be eligible for a refund.
The numerical limits to know
None of the help pages consulted sets a number of trades per day or a minimum holding time that would define "high frequency" (the terms and conditions, which were not read, are not covered by this statement). We do not retain the thresholds seen circulating on third-party sites: they do not appear in the help pages read. The figures MFFU actually publishes, useful for coding a robot:
- Tier 1 releases (FOMC, FOMC minutes, jobs report, CPI; EIA for energy, agricultural reports for agriculturals): no position and no order, limit orders included, 2 minutes before and after the release. For an 8:30 AM release, everything must be closed by 8:28:00 AM at the latest, with reopening possible after 8:32:00 AM ("News Trading Policy" page, shown as of August 31, 2026). For live accounts, the live FAQ of November 10, 2025 states that news trading is allowed, while strongly discouraging it; this FAQ predates the News Trading Policy page.
- 2% price limit: no trading when a product is within 2% of a CME price limit, on sim funded and live accounts ("2% Price Limit Rule" page, dated August 24, 2026). On equity indices, the overnight limit moves to 5%, which suspends trading at MFFU.
- Position size: an order exceeding the size allowed on an instrument is rejected. Mixing minis and micros to get around the total cap may execute technically but is not allowed (example given by MFFU: a Rapid 50K sim funded starts at 2 contracts; "Cross Instrument Policy" page, dated August 24, 2026).
- Live accounts: according to the live FAQ of November 10, 2025, systems automatically close positions before 4:10 PM ("EST" in the FAQ).
In practice: what the pages leave open
Personal bot or off-the-shelf bot. The rule speaks of settings "specific" to the trader, without defining what this covers for a purchased or rented robot. In addition, the "Can someone else trade my account?" page (dated August 24, 2026) states that the account must be traded exclusively by its holder and prohibits device sharing; it does not address third-party or managed services. A service that would run your account for you is therefore a point to validate in writing with support. No human supervision requirement appears in the help pages consulted: we do not assert one, and we do not rule one out either.
Platforms. The "Overview of Supported Platforms" page lists NinjaTrader, Hyperprop, Tradovate, TradingView, Quantower, Volumetrica, DeepChart/DeepDom and ATAS. It mentions no API, no robots and no VPS, and no page consulted indicates which platforms suit automated execution. The API is not documented in the help pages consulted.
VPS. Not documented in the help pages consulted: searching "VPS" in the help center returns no article, and neither the Fair Play page nor the platforms page mentions it. To be confirmed with support.

Differences by account type
The Fair Play page words the automation rule for "our plans", without naming a plan or providing a different regime. What does change, according to the pages consulted, matters for a robot:
- Tier 1 releases: trading is restricted on Rapid Sim Funded and Pro Sim Funded, and allowed in evaluation and on Builder plans. The page also presents the standard protocols as valid for all releases: check with support what applies to your plan.
- Pro: the consistency page recommends avoiding DCA and high frequency. This is advice, with no numerical threshold.
- Live: CME rules for automation (Fair Play page); microscalping and DCA allowed and automatic closing before 4:10 PM, according to the live FAQ of November 10, 2025.
Key takeaways
- Automation allowed with your own settings, without exploiting simulated fills; high frequency and hedging prohibited
- No official numerical HFT threshold, no API and no list of approved bots in the help pages read (terms and conditions not read)
- For a robot: Tier 1 release filter (2 minutes), 2% price limit safeguard, size respected
Frequently asked questions
Does MyFundedFutures allow trading robots?
Yes, with conditions. Automated strategies are allowed with settings specific to the trader, as long as they do not exploit the simulator's favorable executions. High-frequency trading is prohibited.
Is high-frequency trading allowed at MFFU?
No. However, the help pages consulted publish no numerical threshold (number of trades or holding time) that would define it; the terms and conditions could not be read. If in doubt, ask support.
Can you use a trade copier at MFFU?
Yes: MFFU states that it allows copy trading on all account types, with no technical support or reset in case of problems. Copying another trader's trades, on the other hand, is prohibited; the exact boundary between the two is not detailed and should be confirmed with support.
What is the exploitation of simulated fills?
According to MFFU, this means for example placing several limit orders at the same price, aiming for isolated fills in gapping or illiquid markets, or taking advantage of the absence of slippage with tight brackets.
Can a robot trade economic releases at MFFU?
It depends on the plan. On Tier 1 releases, no position or order may remain open 2 minutes before and after, and trading is restricted on Rapid Sim Funded and Pro Sim Funded. On live accounts, the live FAQ of November 10, 2025 says that news trading is allowed, while strongly discouraging it. Confirm your plan's case with support.
What is the risk in case of violation?
MFFU reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately, forfeit profits tied to prohibited practices and re-examine passed evaluations; an offending trader may not be funded and may not be eligible for a refund.
